Consular Card — Information & Application Guide

A Consular Card is an official document issued by the Rwandan embassy to identify Rwandans living abroad. It serves as proof of identity and can be useful for various services at the Embassy and in Rwanda.

How to Apply

  1. Create an Account: Sign up on the Rwandan Community Abroad portal by providing the required information.
  2. Email Confirmation: Check your email for the confirmation link and click it to verify your account.
  3. Submit Your Application: Log in and complete the application for your consular ID card.
  4. Approval: Once approved by the embassy, your consular card is issued digitally and becomes accessible in your account.

Requirements

  • A valid Rwandan identification document (National ID or Passport).
  • A recent passport-size photo.

Validity

A Consular Card is valid for 1 year.

All Rwandans residing abroad are eligible to apply.
