The Embassy of Rwanda in Poland, in collaboration with RCA-Poland, celebrated Umuganura 2026 in Poznań, bringing together around 200 members of the Rwandan community and friends of Rwanda to share in the traditional harvest celebration.
Umuganura, Rwanda’s traditional harvest festival, is celebrated as a source of unity and a foundation for self-reliance — this year’s theme captured in the phrase “Umuganura, isoko y’ubumwe n’ishingiro ryo kwigira.” In Poznań, the occasion drew a strong turnout of Rwandans living across Poland along with their friends and neighbors.
A Farewell Message from the Ambassador
Ambassador Prof. Anastase Shyaka attended as Guest of Honour and used the occasion to bid farewell to the Rwandan community in Poland, encouraging members to continue upholding Rwandan values, unity, and solidarity wherever they may be.
A Harvest Shared in Unity
True to the spirit of Umuganura, the Poznań celebration was a moment for the community to share in the harvest and reaffirm the values of unity and solidarity that anchor Rwandan identity abroad. With around 200 attendees, the event stood as one of the community’s larger gatherings in Poland this year.

Looking Ahead
